Brad Pitt Was the Most Popular Actor at 2023 Golden Globe Awards
Mary J. Blige assured fans that she's "hanging in there" after calling it quits with husband and manager Kendu Isaacs.
The GRAMMY winner sat down with Good Morning America's Robin Roberts on Wednesday, and was quite candid about her ongoing divorce battle and reports that her estranged husband is asking for $130,000 a month in spousal support. Blige even offered up advice to women in similar situations.

"My message to those women that are going through the same thing is you cannot rely on people to handle your business," she shared. "You have to handle your business. You have to take responsibility and stay on top of it, because things like this will happen if you don't."

The "Not Gon' Cry" singer also revealed what led to her filing for divorce after 13 years of marriage. "The breaking point was when I kept asking over and over and over again for respect and to be respected," Blige explained. "If I can't get respect in the relationship, then I have to move on to save myself."
"No one wants to go through this. This is hard. I'm hanging in there," she said. "I have to stay strong and I have to be the strength for myself. I had to save myself and I'm saving myself now."

Blige does have a lot of support in this difficult time. "What is getting me through is God, is prayer, is my family, my fans," she continued. "Just getting that self awareness and putting myself in a place that I can see clearly."
In July, Blige's rep told ET in a statement that the 45-year-old singer was "saddened" about filing for divorce, but added that "there is a divine plan and a reason for everything."
