Prince Harry sat next to Rihanna on stage, after the two met for the first time earlier in the day, and the pair seemed to have a great time chatting and laughing during the celebration.

Part of the ceremony included the official unveiling of a monument celebrating this special anniversary of independence. And, like any good monument reveal, fireworks were in order.

The monument included a sundial, and Prince Harry was given the honor of inserting the gnomon -- the piece of the sundial that sticks out and casts a shadow to indicate the time. Basically, the most important part!
