Stranger Things have happened! Netflix star Millie Bobby Brown didn’t have her first sleepover until the age of 12, but it certainly was memorable.

In Brown’s first appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she opened up about her friendship with Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler. She says that Ziegler is her “best friend” despite only knowing her for five months.

“When I met her, I started crying,” Brown admitted, noting that she had been a longtime fan of Ziegler. “She private messaged me on Twitter. I’d never been on a sleepover before and she was like, ‘Do you want to come over?’ So I’m like, ‘Sure, ok.’ So I go over and at like 3 o’clock in the morning the fire alarm comes on. We all had to get rushed out of her apartment building and I’m crying because I’m like, ‘My first sleepover’s ruined!’ So we’ve been through a lot.”

Though Stranger Things didn’t take home any Golden Globes at Sunday’s show, the Netflix series still holds an important place in Brown’s career.

Despite the show putting her on the map, Brown hasn’t uttered any full lines yet on camera as her character Eleven.

With Season 2 of the sci-fi drama just around the corner, Brown was vague about the details of Eleven’s voice.

“I might have this accent, I don’t know!”she teased of her British accent. “It’s weird to not have any lines because you have to talk with your eyes and your face.”
