Jamie Dornan is getting candid about his personal history with sex toys.
The 34-year-old Fifty Shades Darker star recently stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Tuesday, when he admitted that he didn't have any experience with the "equipment" his character, Christian Grey, uses in the bedroom.
... Though he did "surprise" himself once on set.
"The funny thing is pretty much everything you find in the red room you've used a version of, but not for the same effect," Dornan says. "It's more like, maybe you're on a horse or something ... so, you have the skill set. You kind of surprise yourself. Most of it I have to admit, I was pretty green about that stuff."
Later, the handsome Irish actor was visibly a bit embarrassed when DeGeneres asked if he took "anything home" to his wife, Amelia Warner.
"No ... I don't think she wants some used prop from the set," he laughs. "I'll tell you what, she hasn't told me."
As for Fifty Shades Darker, which hits theaters on Feb. 10, Dornan says the highly anticipated sequel is definitely less serious than the broody original.
"We see a softer side of him as well," Dornan says of his character. "We see him smile a lot more in the second movie. There's a few lighter moments. 'Cause you know, in the first movie, Dakota [Johnson], she gets all the gags, and I'm pretty serious. It's a bit more evenly spread in the second one."
Later, Dornan is game to act out a "Fifty Shades Darkest" skit with DeGeneres, who hilariously dresses as a Staples employee who uses office supplies in the bedroom.
Dornan sported his new look during the show -- a shaved head and a full beard -- a complete 180 from his character's look in the erotic trilogy. Watch below:
