Zac Efron is thinking about settling down.

In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, the 29-year-old actor opens up about his changing priorities as he approaches 30, and how he hopes to "make somebody else happy."

“I didn’t think much about settling down until recently," Efron reveals. "Now that I’m getting closer to my 30s, I’m around some great relationships and I’ve seen expert couples at work."

"I’m realizing that you have to find your own happiness before you can make somebody else happy," he adds.

The Baywatch star has been single for the past year, after splitting with girlfriend Sami Miro last April. Before dating Miro, Efron was linked to Lily Collins and Vanessa Hudgens, whom he dated for four years during the pair's Disney days.

While Efron may be looking to settle down, don't think the way to his heart is through Instagram -- it's actually through his brother, Dylan.

“I try to stay off my phone as much as possible. It’s on silent and the vibrate is off all day. People sometimes hate me for it!" he says. "But I’m just not a pro at DMing and all that. Forget Twitter, forget Instagram. Let’s just chill and be real. Enjoy the moment.”

“If I’m dating someone, one of the few people I need to weigh in on the situation is my brother," he adds. We live together, and we’re different in a lot of ways, but he’s really grounded. He lived a more normal life than I did growing up, so he’s a great barometer for me. He’ll be like, ‘Are you sure you’re happy? Is this what you really want?’ Having my little brother around is a really great thing.”

And ladies looking to win over Efron better stock up on one-pieces.

“I’d definitely vote for a one-piece over a bikini. The red Baywatch one-piece is iconic. And I think it looks awesome! It leaves more to the imagination," he shares. "Sometimes, it’s what you can’t see that’s more intriguing.”
