The 'Vampire Diaries' star rang in another year older on Tuesday with a surprise from her 'wild friends.'

The Vampire Diaries star turned 29 on Tuesday, and in honor of her special day, her closest gal pals gathered together for one epic surprise -- a onesie dance party!
Julianne Hough, Jessica Szohr, Nicole Cogan, Lane Cheek, Jericho McMatthews and Lissa Bankston were all in on the surprise, which went down during a girls only birthday dance class for Dobrev at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. Rocking lion, tiger, bear, raccoon, unicorn and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles onesies, the ladies busted out fun, energetic choreography to Rihanna's "Birthday Cake," which the brunette beauty later shared via Instagram.
"I'm a unicorn. And I've got some wild friends," Dobrev explained in the caption. "So what did they do to surprise me during a girls dance class on my birthday? Onesie dance party. DUH ! Feeling pretty lucky and grateful right now. Thank you for always keeping in my toes and being the best friends a girl could ask for. I felt so special and loved last night. Appreciate you strong fearless fierce amazing women in my life ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️"

While all of Dobrev's friends showered her with love on her special day, we especially loved Hough's Instagram tribute to her "angel babe."
