Valerie Bertinelli Comments on Eddie Van Halen's Condition

VAN HALEN recently announced the postponement of upcoming tour dates and despite the band Web site stating it was so that guitarist EDDIE VAN HALEN can treat an unnamed condition, there are rumors it's because he's in rehab -- a claim his ex-wife VALERIE BERTINELLI disputes.

"The reports about him being in rehab are wrong. Eddie is sober," Bertinelli told People today. "He's being proactive about his illness."

While not elaborating on what the illness is, she did say he and the band are preparing to get back on the road. "I talk to him about every other day -- he wants to get back on tour," she says. "I think they'll be back on the road by April 19."
