Cuoco, 29, earns a hefty paycheck from the CBS hit series, The Big Bang Theory, and reportedly has a net worth estimated at approximately $45 million. Meanwhile, Sweeting, 29, is reportedly worth approximately $2 million.

While the divorce was thought to be quick in light of the pre-nuptial agreement the couple signed prior to their wedding on Dec. 31, 2013, Sweeting's recent filings suggest the process might take longer than expected.

Cuoco cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the breakup in her divorce filing, which a source close to Sweeting told ET "was a long time coming."

In Sweeting's response, he lists the date of separation as Sept. 25, 2015 -- the day the split was announced -- which is three weeks later than the date Cuoco listed as their separation date in her divorce filing. In Cuoco's papers, she claims they separated on Sept. 3.

Cuoco and Sweeting, who dated for three months, were married for 21 months.

A source close to Sweeting speculated on Cuoco's reason for the split, saying, "She realized she wants to be with a guy who has a job and is motivated."

Sweeting, a tennis player, turned pro in 2007. His first and only title came in 2011, when he beat Kei Nishikori of Japan at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships in Houston.
