Shawn Johnson is going to be a mom!

The Olympic gymnast is expecting a baby with husband Andrew East, she announced on Instagram on Thursday. The news comes more than a year after she revealed she had suffered a miscarriage.

"@theeastbaby ... we cannot WAIT to welcome you to the world and shower you with love," Johnson captioned a sweet photo of herself cradling her burgeoning belly, as East pointed at her bun in the oven. "@andrewdeast WE DID IT! Check out the full announcement with link in bio?#pregnant #marriage #family."

East also shared a short video of him and Johnson holding baby shoes, while more precious pics from their photo shoot were added to their soon-to-be baby's Instagram.

Johnson revealed in an emotional YouTube video in October 2017 that she had suffered a miscarriage.

"The past 48 hours have been some of the happiest, scariest, and saddest times of my life. My husband Andrew and I found out that we were unexpectedly pregnant, only to find out hours later some tragic news," she said. "I have been crying more than I ever have, but am still optimistic for what is next."

"We know everything happens for a reason," Johnson later shared in a Facebook Live chat with her fans. "We believe God's got a bigger plan for us. All we can do is be positive, otherwise, we just sink into a hole."

The 27-year-old gymnast married East, a professional football long snapper specialist, in Nashville in 2016. See more baby news in the video below.
