Oprah Winfrey is one of many who evacuated due to the Thomas Fire, a blaze that erupted earlier this month and continues to threaten homes in Santa Barbara and Montecito, California.

Over the weekend, Winfrey gave an update on the scary situation.

"Still praying for our little town," the media mogul tweeted on Saturday. "Winds picked up this morning creating a perfect storm of bad for firefighters. #peacebestill"

She went on to thank the firefighters risking their lives to protect everyone in the area.

"God bless every firefighter and their families. Fighting 3 weeks straight. still going. Imagine their exhaustion!#ThomasFire," she posted.

Winfrey also revealed that her home has been evacuated for 10 days, and that her pets are safely out of the area.

Southern California has been ravaged by wildfires for most of December, from Ventura County to the hills along the 405 freeway. CBS Los Angeles reports that the Thomas Fire is now the largest in California history, and has been burning for 14 days, destroying 700 homes and leaving one firefighter dead.

Ellen Degeneres, who evacuated with wife Portia de Rossi and their pets, tweeted her condolences to the firefighter's family.

"Firefighter Cory Iverson lost his life in this disaster, leaving behind his pregnant wife, Ashley, and their two-year-old daughter," the comedian wrote. "I can’t imagine your loss. I’m sending you all so much love."

Rob Lowe also posted images to Instagram showing how dangerously close the fire is to him and his neighbors."Our house aprox 7:30 am today. Pray for Santa Barbara," he wrote in the caption for an image showing flaming hills above his home.

The actor also posted a pic of of his house and yard being hosed down with water, a preventative measure to keep the fire from spreading. "Helping earlier today. You do what you can, but when it’s time.. you GO," he added in the caption.

Katy Perry, a Santa Barbara native, shared the news on Saturday that her mom, dad and brother were all forced to evacuate due to the fire.

"Woke up to wish my mom a happy 70th birthday today to find my brother evacuating them from the insane #ThomasFire in Santa Barbara County that has kicked up once again... praying for the firefighters & first responders that are fighting it back as best they can. Love you SB ?," Perry wrote on Saturday morning.
