Kate Middleton's Folks Finally Meet the Queen

Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip hosted a lunch Wednesday at Windsor Castle for Kate Middleton's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton according to People.com.

Though the monarch and Prince Philip were in attendance with the Middletons when Prince William and Kate graduated from St. Andrews in 2005, this marks the first time the Middleton's have formally met with the Queen. With the wedding just nine days away it had been speculated that they may not meet until the wedding day on April 29 at Westminster Abbey.

The gathering is said to have had a "warm atmosphere" and was also attended by members of the royal household.
