ET spoke with the actor following the fan convention over the weekend.

Ryan Reynolds had a scary encounter at Comic-Con in São Paulo, Brazil.

While promoting his new film, Free Guyat the convention over the weekend, the 43-year-old actor found himself in slight danger when a barrier gave way, nearly crushing him.

In videos posted to Twitter by those who were at the event, you can clearly see Reynolds jump back as the barrier (that was separating him from hundreds of screaming fans) fell over. Reynolds' co-star, Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, can also be seen in the various clips, reacting to the mishap:

ET's Rachel Smith spoke with Reynolds in Brazil on Sunday, where he recalled exactly what he was thinking and feeling as the barrier started to fall.

"Well, ordinance collapsed and that was a little, I think it looked worse than it was," he said. "All I was worried about were the people that were -- what you could tell is that they were falling, like, 'Oh, they're gonna be fine,' and it's like, 'Oh, but that leg is gonna go,' so I jumped out. But it was, yeah, everyone was fine."

The actor also joked that his wife, Blake Lively, had warned him about staying safe before he headed out to the event.

"My only job that Blake said as I was leaving was, 'Just come home in one piece,'" he shared. "So that was my only job."

Reynolds has yet to address the Comic-Con chaos with his fans on social media, but according to his Twitter page, it appears he's already moved on from it. On Monday, following the release of the 2020 Golden Globe nominations, he reacted to being snubbed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

"I'm not sure when the #GoldenGlobes will recognize explosions as a category but 'til then... #6Underground #FinalTrailer #Snubbed," he tweeted, along with the trailer for Netflix's 6 Underground.
