Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are the latest celebs to test positive for COVID-19. The couple's positive diagnosis was revealed on the official Instagram account for their Broadway show, Plaza Suite, on Thursday.
"Today, Sarah Jessica Parker tested positive for COVID with a second test confirming the diagnosis," the post began, before announcing that Thursday night's performance of the Neil Simon production would be cancelled. "With both Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker positive for COVID, tonight's performance of Plaza Suite is cancelled. The producers apologize for the inconvenience this has caused audience members."
The post also instructed ticket holders to contact their point of sale to reschedule or obtain a refund for Thursday night's show and to stay tuned for news about the show's future.
"News about future performances of #PlazaSuite will be announced as soon as possible," they added in the caption. "Everyone wishes Matthew and Sarah Jessica a speedy recovery."
The couple's positive COVID-19 diagnosis comes just over a week after they stepped out with their three children, James, 19, and 12-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha for opening night of the show at New York City’s Hudson Theater.
Parker and Broderick’s appearance in Plaza Suite marks the second time they have shared the Broadway stage together. Plaza Suite tells the story of three couples (all played by Parker and Broderick) that happen to be staying in suite 719 as they navigate unexpected revelations in their own relationships.

In 2020, Parker spoke with ET about why she and Broderick wanted to do Plaza Suite.
“When we re-read Plaza Suite, we were just reminded how freaking funny it was. How funny it is but also how moving it is,” Parker recalled. “How much it is about relationships and marriage and milestones and betrayal. How much it is about marriages at different parts, at different points of years spent together and the absurdity of all of it.”
