Taylor Swift certainly knows how to keep her fans guessing!

Ahead of her highly anticipated announcement on Friday, the 29-year-old singer made a surprise appearance in Nashville, Tennessee.

Chic in a lavender off-the-shoulder crop top with a high-waisted skirt from Rococo Sand, both embroidered with sequin butterfly motifs, and still sporting her bright pink dip-dyed hair, Swift was all smiles while posing in front of a giant wall mural in The Gulch neighborhood.

The artwork was done by street artist Kelsey Montague and matches the theme Swift has been teasing all over her social media -- cats, butterflies, flowers and all!

"So... @kelseymontagueart helped me pull off the best surprise clue reveal today in Nashville!!" Swift explained via Instagram. "Thank you to everyone who showed up, I’ve never been more proud of your FBI level detective skills."

"Next clue: I'll be joining the magnificent @robinrobertsgma for a chat tonight on ABC live from Nashville ???????," she added.

After taking a few solo pics, Swift took some time to chat with fans and even snap a few selfies:

Just a few minutes before she arrived on site, Swift revealed via Instagram Stories that she was on her way. "We've commissioned this butterfly mural to be painted on a wall in Nashville," she explained. "We put clues about the song and new music in the mural."

ET exclusively spoke with Montague via Facetime on Thursday, where she gave us some insight on how the mural came to be and what it was like seeing so many fans gather in front of her artwork. She revealed she actually had no idea the mural was for Swift until she showed up in front of it!

"I had no idea this was all happening today," said Montague, whose work Swift has been a fan of since 2017. "ABC [told me they] actually commissioned the mural for the NFL draft. I came out working on a piece just for them, and they told me they wanted rainbows, cats, stars and hearts in it. It just all came together last minute."

"It's really cool because she really helped me start my street art career," she continued. "She gave me such a voice as an artist. Really helped me find my way. I got to see her and meet her [today] ... it means so much to me. I've always had so much respect for her as a creative."

On Thursday, Swift also spent a great deal of the day continuing to tease her big announcement on social media, posting more cryptic clues and subtly commenting on fans' theories and predictions.

Over the past few months, Swift has been teasing fans that something big is coming this Friday. Many are guessing it's her seventh studio album and there are already plenty of theories about what the new theme could be. Read them here and watch the video below for more on Swift!
