Tina Turner looked simply the best as she made her first red carpet appearance in five years in London, England, on Tuesday night.
The 78-year-old music icon stepped out with her husband, Erwin Bach, for the opening of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, a production based on her life, at the Aldwych Theatre.
Rocking a black suit, lace gloves and sparkly silver shoes, the GRAMMY winner was all smiles as she arrived at the event, and posed with Tony-nominated performer Adrienne Warren, who plays Turner in the musical.
Warren appeared in Dreamgirls, Bring It On: The Musical andOrange Is the New Black prior to this production, which chronicles Turner’s tumultuous rise to becoming one of the biggest superstars in music.
“It's difficult to see someone else do what we did for 40 years,” Turner told BBC News following the premiere. “I'm a perfectionist, so I look a little bit critically. But when I look and see it done so well, I feel proud.”
