"Jersey Shore" star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has signed a deal with MTV to develop his own new reality show.
While no specific project was named, a pilot is due to start filming later this year, Variety.com reports.
"I'm excited to continue my relationship with MTV, which has been home for me for the last couple of years," Sorrentino told the trade magazine. "I'm really grateful for all the support from my fans. Hopefully, there will be plenty more situations in the future."
Sorrentino's deal is the third spinoff to be approved by MTV for cast members of "Jersey Shore," the network's top-rated show. Another series will feature Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, while the third spinoff will star "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio.
