Kirstie Alley Attributes Additional Weight Loss to Pounding the Pavement

Even though she relinquished the "Dancing With the Stars" crown to Hines Ward, Kirstie Alley was not discouraged from shaking her booty. She's continued to partake in her newfound passion of ballroom since the season finale.

The actress slenderized before the eyes of millions of viewers and her trimmer figure was on full display Sunday in New York at "Dance with Me Studios Presents: All the Right Moves! Summer Invitational." Dancing isn't her only means of exercise. During her NY visit, "I've been running around the city a lot," she said.

Reuniting with partner Maksim Chmerkovkiy, the duo decided to wing it on the dance floor. They "haven't rehearsed" since the show ended, Kirstie admitted. "I was practicing in the yard last night." The twosome performed an encore of their high-scoring cha-cha to Cee Lo Green's "Forget You."

Along with fellow pro Tony Dovolani, Maks' mission with the Dance with Me Studios chain is to get "everybody moving and shaking. It's an amazing pastime and it's something that I think is good for your health, for your soul." The notoriously eligible bachelor also took the opportunity to clear the air, stating, "I am not dating Cheryl [Burke]."
