Just In: Jonathan Rhys Meyers Didn't Attempt Suicide

Despite reports, Irish star Jonathan Rhys Meyers didn’t try to commit suicide.

The Sun is reporting that 'The Tudors' actor was found on the floor of his posh home after paramedics responded to an emergency call on Tuesday.

Although a source told the publication that, "It was the opinion of those present that he tried to take his life," a source close to the actor tells ET that it was not a suicide attempt, but rather a relapse in his sobriety. He was hospitalized and released.

Scotland Yard tells ET, "We can confirm we were called by the London Ambulance Service around 8 in the evening on Tuesday to an address in NW8 following a report to a man refusing treatment," Scotland Yard tells ET. "Police attended, and the 33-year-old man was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. That was the end of our involvement."
