Following her 2004 split and subsequent divorce from actor Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston has kept mum on the subject of her ex, however, during an appearance on Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio," Aniston broke her characteristic silence, opening up to host James Lipton.

When asked about why she signed on to 2006's 'The Break-Up' after having just gone through a very public split of her own, she quips, "I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue." She adds that joining on the project felt to her like "a great way to sort of exercise" the feelings she had.

Aniston admits that she could sense the movie's producers' hesitancy to ask her onto the project, but her passion for the project made her want to jump on board despite the sensitive subject matter. She says, "I was like, why not? Turn the page, let's move on."
