The ladies of Wisteria Lane are now approaching the end of the line for their landmark ABC series "Desperate Housewives."
The network gave a written statement to ET today announcing that the next season of the sexy comedy will be its last.
"Season Eight of 'Desperate Housewives' will roll out in a way that is accessible even to viewers who may have lapsed in their viewing, and be all the richer and more rewarding to the series' loyal fans," the statement read.
From Carlos' murder of Gaby's evil stepfather to Lynette and Tom's crumbling marriage, fans will be glued to their TVs to see how these dramatic storylines play out, building up to show's spectacular finale.
"I am so grateful for what the show has given me!" Eva Longoria tweeted. "We always knew we wanted to end on top and I thank ABC for giving us our victory lap!"
The last season of "Desperate Housewives" premieres September 25 on ABC.
