Kat Dennings makes the jump from the silver screen to the small screen this fall and we have behind-the-scenes clips of the actress in her new role on CBS' 2 Broke Girls.

The new sitcom follows the lives of Max Black (Kat Dennings), a street-smart, no-nonsense talking waitress, and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs), an heiress who has recently stumbled on hard times, as they find themselves working and living together in New York City.

"I think being broke is something most people can relate to," said Kat. "We've all been like, 'Oh my God! I'm screwed.'"

Kat joins the ranks of such film stars as Zooey Deschanel (New Girl), Jim Caviezel (Person of Interest) and Christina Ricci (Pan Am) who are making the transition to TV this fall.

"The show is about people trying to make something of their life and become something," said comedienne Whitney Cummings who serves as the show's co-creator and executive producer. Whitney is a hot commodity in television this fall with two big shows set to debut. The other, Whitney, premieres September 22 on NBC.

Be sure to tune in for 2 Broke Girls when it premieres on CBS September 19.
