"I am so proud," said Karina Smirnoff of partner J.R. moments after securing a 22 out of 30, officially making them the best of the night. "I knew it was gonna be good!"

"He's a real natural dancer" said Kym Johnson of partner David Arquette. The duo secured a spot in the middle of the pack with Elisabetta Canalis and Nancy Grace. Arquette credited his estranged wife Courteney Cox and daughter Coco's appearance an uplifting motivator to do his very best.

"It was a lot of fun," beamed Kristin Cavallari who scored a respectable 19 out of 30. "I was definitely nervous, but I thought I was going to be a wreck because I was so nervous. The live audience gives you so much energy and I had such a good time."

Also admittedly nervous were Ricki Lake and partner Derek Hough, but Ricki devised a plan to settle her anxiety by imagining the dance with her soon-to-be husband. "I really am connected to Derek, and I've sort of been thinking he's like my fiancé and I made eye contact with my fiancé right before we started so that just tapped in."

"I might have done a couple things a little bigger than I should but it was really fun," admitted Chaz Bono of his Cha-Cha with Lacey Schwimmer, but says he does "feel pretty good" about his 17 score.
