Chaz Bono, the show's first transgender contestant, took his final bow on DWTS, leaving with an inspirational farewell speech that encapsulated his journey through the competition.

"I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man," Chaz said. "If there was somebody on TV like me when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different."

Chaz dedicated his accomplishments on the show "to all the people out there like [him], especially the kids and teens who are struggling."

This elimination follows an especially heated dance competition last night.

"Bruno [Tonioli] [expletive] makes comments about me being cute and cuddly and an ewok with the Princess Leia like I'm some fat troll dancing with this beautiful woman every week, and I'm sick of it," Chaz during a backstage interview after receiving Monday's scores.

Chaz's mom, Cher, took to Twitter in defense of her child, writing, "I could teach [Bruno's] little arm-waving ass some manners! Critique Chaz's dance style, movements, etc., but don't make fun of my child on national TV."

Following Chaz's elimination, Cher returned to Twitter with a cooler head: "I have got to hold my temper!" Cher wrote. "My tears are okay! Congratulations Chaz -- I'm so proud of you! This was your quest and you followed your star."
