Tina Fey has remained mum in respect to her 30-Rock co-star's Words With Friends incident in early December, but the comedian broke her silence last night on The Late Show with David Letterman revealing she had good reason for the hush. Shame.

"Alec, bless his heart, he had some trouble on the plane a few weeks ago," said Tina sheepishly to Dave. "Last spring I said to [Alec], 'Hey, there's this really fun game called Words With Friends'..."

As you may remember, Baldwin was kicked off of an American Airlines flight in late 2011 for refusing to put away his smart phone, which sparked a very public battle with the airline to which he eventually apologized.

Despite his recent troubles, Fey said Baldwin's future on 30 Rock is solid, just so long as the network still wants them.

"If there is a seventh season and NBC is still a thing, then we'll all be back," she said.
