Julianne: 'Game Change' Humanizes Sarah Palin

By

In an interview with Anderson Cooper, Julianne Moore confronted the criticism surrounding her new movie Game Change, explaining that the controversy has been much ado about nothing.

The film, based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's bestselling book of the same name, follows Senator John McCain's (played by Ed Harris) 2008 presidential campaign, how he came to choose Sarah Palin (played by Julianne) as his running mate and how he lost to now President Barack Obama.

Anderson noted that "[Sarah Palin] hasn't seen [the movie] but she's been critical of it," asking Julianne how she felt about Sarah's position on the film.

"We tried to be as fair and as accurate as possible and, believe me, absolutely everything was sourced," said Julianne. "I'm not interested in making things up for the sake of entertainment."

Anderson went on to suggest that the movie actually "humanizes" the former vice presidential candidate.

"I hope so," Julianne agreed.
