18 CBS Primetime Shows Renewed

The casts of such CBS shows as NCIS, Person of Interest, Mike & Molly, Hawaii Five-0 and 2 Broke Girls have a lot to cheer about today, as TV's No. 1 network has announced their renewal among a total of 18 series returning for the 2012-2013 broadcast season.

The renewals include nine dramas, four comedies, three reality series and two newsmagazines, encompassing every night of the week and every hour, many of which are No. 1 in their time period and some No. 1 on the entire night.

"This large-scale renewal is testimony to the strength, stability and success of a deep and diverse roster of top-rated programming," says Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment. "It positions us for continued success next season and certainly creates an environment that will give our new shows the best possible chance to succeed."

'Big Bang Theory' Cast Celebrates 100th Episode

Of the comedies, Mike & Molly and 2 Broke Girls join the previously announced multi-year pickups of How I Met Your Mother and American Idol-beater The Big Bang Theory, and the network announced that CBS and Warner Bros. Television are in preliminary discussions regarding future seasons for Two and A Half Men.

Along with NCIS, Person of Interest and Hawaii Five-0, renewed dramas include NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Good Wife, The Mentalist and Blue Bloods, while the reality shows set to return are The Amazing Race, Undercover Boss and the previously renewed Survivor.

Stalwart newsmagazines 60 Minutes and 48 Hours Mystery will also return in the fall.
