'Apartment 23' Cast on Show's Controversial Title

ET paid a visit to the set of the upcoming comedy series Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 and found out what the show's stars think about the controversial title.

When James Van Der Beek, who plays a fictional version of himself in the series, was asked whether there would be any controversy, he replied, "I hope so. We're hoping to get picketed by somebody…If there are people outside the studio with signs that say, 'Don't watch this show. This show is wrong,' then I think we've done something right."

The 35-year-old actor revealed that the show's edginess doesn't stop at the title and he's surprised that the show is set to be on network television. "It feels like a cable show to me," he explained. "We're getting away with a lot."

Krysten Ritter, who plays the "B" on the show, expressed similar feelings about any potential controversy over the show. "I think there probably will be controversy and so what? That's fun," Ritter said. "'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23' is intriguing and exciting and it draws you in."

Co-star Dreama Walker, who plays Ritter's roommate in the show, revealed that she herself has been taken aback by Apartment 23's edginess. "Constantly, every time we're reading a script we're always like, 'Wow, this is really edgy! Are we going to get away with this?'"
