'DWTS' Delivers A Surprising Elimination
Dancing with the Stars sent their third couple of the season packing tonight. If you don't want to know who was eliminated, read no further!
Starting the show with a bang, Rock band Kiss performed an encore night of rock 'n' roll action, immediately followed by an update on the big news of the week -- Melissa Gilbert's concussion sustained last night on the dance floor.
Week 4: 'DWTS' Goes Rock 'N' Roll
The Little House on the Prairie actress was noticeably absent from her place beside Maksim, however host Tom Bergeron let the audience in on Gilbert's condition.
"[Melissa] did suffer a mild concussion," Bergeron said. "On her doctor's advice she is taking a rest day and if they get through tonight she'll be able to compete going forward."
Soon after the update, Melissa and Maks were given the first pardon of the night followed immediately after by Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff. Gladys Knight and Jaleel White were also declared safe from the bottom two.
William Levy & Cheryl Burke React to Blunder
Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, this week's frontrunners, delivered a repeat performance of their crowd-pleasing routine and were subsequently relieved from eliminations tonight along with Katherine Jenkins and her partner Mark Ballas as well as William Levy and Cheryl Burke.
Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower were left to sweat it out with Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy, and after a few agonizing moments, Sherri and her partner were given their leave from the competition.
With tears streaming down her cheeks, Sherri Shepherd thanked her fans for letting her "live a dream."
"I got the best partner in Val Chmerkovskiy," she said. "I want to say to every person out there that thing that scares you the most, that makes you say, 'I dont know if I can do it, I'm scared,' run towards it because it's so amazing on the other side."
