Although it was fun night on Dancing with the Stars for Motown Week, Melissa Gilbert and her dancing partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy weren't very cheery after the show backstage due to a package that was displayed during the show in which the two were expelling frustrations.
"You saw the few moments of us losing our temper in a week full of absolute laughter and joy and camaraderie and support and an amazing friendship," Gilbert said to ET backstage. "I don't know why they keep cutting [the videos] this way but that's not what it was...This is 'Dancing with the Stars' the soap opera version...It makes me look like a victim and makes [Maks] look like an a**hole."
Chmerkovskiy also chimed in, expressing his discontent with the package. "I know what my job is. I know that my focus is on her," he said. "I know that I will try to make her do her best, and we'll be friends forever after."
Although the night was dedicated to Motown, a musical movement in which Gladys Knight participated, the singer didn't have much success on the dance floor and posted the night's lowest score.
"I'm just glad to be here to tell the truth," Knight said after the show. "I'm having a great time. I have the best partner in the world and we're just having great fun. The competition is just somewhere else," she said, echoing the general feeling about this season's talent.
