The very first pardon of the night went to Jaleel White and partner Kym Johnson, followed closely behind by William Levy and Cheryl Burke.

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas were the next duo to escape the bottom two this week, with Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd given safety from eliminations soonafter.

Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower were revealed to be the unlucky couple facing off against Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus in the dance duo, thereby freeing Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy from the bottom two, and allowing the pair to dance another week.

Gladys then squared off against Roshon to perform their respective jives, but in the end only one couple would make the grade.

Carrie Ann Inaba voted to keep Gladys and Tristan, however the judge was outvoted two-to-one by her peers on the panel, effectively sending the Empress of Soul home this week.

The music legend took the loss like a pro, thanking everyone for the experience and the opportunity to dance as long as she did.

"It's been absolutely extraordinary," Knight gushed. "I am so amazed at this journey…I learned so many things, found so many friends and family and I'm just overjoyed."

Gladys and Tristan will appear tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Good Morning America tomorrow.
