Jennifer Lopez Confirms She's Leaving 'Idol'

After hinting yesterday on the Today show that she wasn't coming back to the American Idol judges' table next season, Jennifer Lopez confirmed this morning on On Air with Ryan Seacrest that she'll be leaving the hit Fox show.

"I honestly feel that the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I have to do, that I put kind of on hold because I love Idol so much," she told Seacrest.

She also listed spending more time with her children as a reason for the exit.

"It just gets more complicated as the kids get a little bit bigger," she said. "It started feeling like it was a lot, and something had to give. Something has to give. And that's where I'm at right now."

However, she didn't close the door on never appearing on American Idol again.

"I feel like no matter what you guys need over there, I'm always going to be here," she said. "I feel like there's just this tie there. I just don't know if I could be there every single day, all the time, the way we've been doing the past two years."

Her fellow judge Steven Tyler also confirmed he was leaving the show Wednesday to concentrate more on his music with his band Aerosmith.
