After avoiding the snare of elimination for the past three weeks, Bristol Palin and her dancing partner Mark Ballas were eliminated on Tuesday night from Dancing with the Stars. By his lonesome on the press line, Ballas reacted to the elimination and revealed which couple he believes will win the Mirrorball Trophy this season.

As Ballas explained, even though the two were eliminated from the show, they are nevertheless subjected to various television appearances, including a ceremonial appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show.

While eliminated contestants typically talk to the media after their elimination, Palin, who was noticeably brief in interviews during her second Dancing stint, opted to spend time with her family and ready herself for the night's festivities.

"We went out with our best dance. At least we didn't go out with something where we scored really low," Ballas said of their rock 'n' roll dance that slotted them at second-to-last on the leader board. "Rock 'n' roll is not easy, so I was really impressed and happy with our journey thus far...The caliber's so high this time. Everybody's really good. We did the best we could."

Ballas may have been eliminated with Palin on Tuesday, but he still has remnants of himself on the Dancing floor manifested through his former partners Sabrina Bryan and Shawn Johnson. Having surveyed the competition from up close, he revealed who he thinks will win the show.

"If I had to put my money on this competition--who's going to take it--I would say Derek (Hough) and Shawn maybe," he said. "That could be just loyalty talking but I really think they're blowing it out [of] the box...Every week they're going out of the box and that's what wins; playing it safe does not. I think if they just keep on the train that they're on that they'll be alright."
