'X Factor' Brings Back a Fan Favorite

The X Factor kicked off their first week of viewer-voted shows tonight by welcoming back a familiar face.

Diamond White, of Britney Spears' teens, returned for a second shot in the competition Wednesday night, less than a week after her shocking elimination last Thursday.

"We watched the show back and the final 12 we're very happy with," said Simon Cowell at the top of the show. "We think we made a mistake with one act."

With that, a thrilled White emerged telling the crowd it was "awesome" that the judges had a change of heart.

As for the performances, the now-13 acts tackled "movie week," with some of the performers playing homage to members of the judging panel.

Harking back to Spears' silver screen debut Crossroads, Jennel Garcia belted out I Love Rock 'n' Roll while Emblem3's Temptations/ Katy Perry mash-up incorporated a dash of One Direction's What Makes you Beautiful. The superstar Brits rose to fame under Simon Cowell's X Factor mentoring.

Speaking of, One Direction will drop by the show Thursday night to perform as the top 13 become 12.

The X Factor airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. on FOX.
