There are several Survivor touchstones that truly let the castaways know they've made it far in the game: the merge, letters from home and the auction all signify major milestones. Tonight, we're treated to the most enjoyable of the three as each remaining player is given $500 and Jeff Probst puts various items up on the bidding block!
In the past, some have used this auction as an opportunity to curry favor with the group and that might be a good idea for Abi considering her shaky status amongst the tribe.
After back-to-back Tribal Council votes that have cut her alliance at one, Abi's Idol is gone and her head is on the chopping block. Although according to her recently snuffed comrade, Pete, she stands no chance of winning and was the biggest factor in his ousting.
"Even if I wanted Abi to win, she doesn't stand a chance of making the finals," Pete told ETonline. "Looking back, I shouldn't have kept Abi around that long. I thought it was a great idea to bring her to the finals because she wouldn't get any votes. What I didn't realize was just how much the others couldn't stand her, and that blew up in my face. Everybody makes mistakes in this game, unfortunately, mine became my demise."
So, will Abi use tonight's Survivor auction as a chance to get back in the group's good graces or is her torch all-but-snuffed? Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. to CBS to find out!
