Andy Dick struck a special chord tonight with judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who burst into tears at the culmination of his touching Viennese Waltz. The dance, dedicated to the years his daughter Meg would perform for him as a child, drew high scores (three 7s) and praise for its tender, effective simplicity.

Meanwhile, Aly Raisman rose to the top of the leader board with a Contemporary routine in remembrance of her gold-medal victories overseas at the 2012 Olympics. After a dizzying routine, which incorporated various gymnastics tricks, the 18-year-old athlete left the floor with 27/30 points (9,9,9) and the lead in the competition.
