Sneak Peek: 'Modern Family' Cast Gets Competitive

The Emmy award winning Modern Family airs tonight on ABC and in this episode it's all about embracing your "inner Beyonce," or at least that is Cam's advice to Lily.

PICS: Star Sightings

Cam's super competitive side comes out as he prepares the young gymnast for a competition. Trouble begins to brew when he learns that his partner, Mitchell, is less than enthusiastic about Lily's future as an athlete.

"We have a gymnast in our family. In one short year, I've seen her blossom from a little girl who couldn't do a somersault…" Cam, played by Eric Stonestreet, says in the episode before being interrupted by Mitchell.

"…into one who kind of can. And by that standard we have a black-belt, art protégé and prima ballerina in our family," says a less than enthusiastic Mitchell.

Cam quips back, "You know what we don't have in our family? Two loving, supportive parents."

Mitchell later changes his tune when he sees Lily perform an impressive dismount off of the beam during the competition.

"I have to admit, seeing Lily do so well brought out something in me. The pride of being the parent of a child who wasn't just participating but thriving," Mitchell says.

Caught up in the spirit of competition, Mitchell later goes on to manifest visions of grandeur of little Lily as a successful, future gymnast. In the hilarious clip, he goes as far as wishing the other girls in the meet would fall off the beam so as not to surpass his "child prodigy" daughter.

Also in this episode, Phil gets a new RV for a fun family road trip and in the Pritchett household, drama and hilarity ensue as Jay and Gloria search for Manny's backpack.

Modern Family stars Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sarah Hyland, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rico Rodriguez, Ariel Winter and Nolan Gould in this mockumentary comedy created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan.

The next episode of Modern Family titled, "Games People Play," airs May 15 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
