First Look: Matthew & Woody are 'True' Detectives

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are teaming up for a spectacular television event called True Detective, and today we have a first look at the upcoming drama.

The eight-part crime series stars the two Texas natives who play detectives Rust Cohle (McConaughey) and Martin Hart (Harrelson). Cohle, a hardened pessimist, and Hart, an emotional family man, are brought together through a seventeen-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana.
The series is said to begin with the bizarre murder in 1995 and move into the testimony from the detectives in 2012, which is when the case reopened.
True Detective premieres on HBO next year.
