The Walking Dead returns for its hugely anticipated fourth season on October 13, and at the same time fans of the series can relive the highlights of last season "for real" at Universal Studios Hollywood, whose Halloween Horror Nights 2013 is planning on a killer zombie infestation with The Walking Dead: No Safe Haven experience. Watch the video as Halloween Horror Nights creative director John Murdy takes Walking Dead exec producer Greg Nicotero on a tour of the upcoming backlot experience -- and recaps fave moments from season three!
This year's Halloween Horror Nights is expanding its scope of terror by bringing guests to isolated production movie and television sets located on the famed Universal backlot to experience the new Walking Dead maze along with the debut of Black Sabbath: 13 3D, based on the legendary rock band's new album 13 -- "a nightmarish landscape of doom, where they will traverse horrifying graveyards, twisted madhouses and bone-chilling battlefields ... and find themselves face to face with a heart-stopping Lucifer and his bride, blood-soaked dead bodies and bubbling pools of 'radioactive water.'"
Other haunted attractions will include Evil Dead: Book of the Dead, inspired by the recent remake of the Sam Raimi cult classic, and Insidious: Into The Further, based on the 2010 horror thriller and its upcoming sequel, Insidious: Chapter 2.
Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights begins on Friday, September 20. And for those who can't wing their way to the West Coast for the ultimate scare, Universal Orlando will also host their own Halloween Horror Nights 23, starting on the same date, featuring a live-action haunted house experience based on An American Werewolf in London. Hoooowwwwooorrrrr!!!
