Stars Shine Bright at MDA Telethon

This Labor Day weekend, how would you like the chance to see some of America's most beloved musical acts, while at the same time helping those who could really use the assistance? Then check out the annual, star-studded Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon!

There will be performances by The Backstreet Boys, country stars Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and Lee Ann Womack, Glee star Matthew Morrison, Enrique Iglesias, Paula Abdul, VMA's artist to watch Austin Mahone, the hip-hop dance crew Jabbawockeez, the American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez, music legend Kenny Loggins with the Blue Sky Riders, the American blues rock band Vintage Trouble, and Universal recording artist and star from the The Voice Chris Mann. All this, alongside a multitude of other presenters from the world of movies and television.

And while you're enjoying the show, why not take the time to give a little support to the Muscular Dystrophy Association? They are a nonprofit health agency dedicated to help find a cure to this crippling disease that has torn so many families apart.

And, over the last 48 years that the telethon has been aired, huge strides have been made towards life-saving treatments and exciting discoveries, largely due to the generous donations of telethon viewers.

The two-hour telethon kicks off Sunday, September 1 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
