First Time Ever! 'South Park' Misses Deadline
For the first time in over a decade, South Park creators have missed their submission deadline.
Flying by the seat of their pants for 13 years, iconic showrunners Matt Stone and Trey Parker have always made their deadlines for submitting new episodes to Comedy Central.

Now that may not seem like a big deal, but unlike almost all other animated shows, which take weeks or months to create, every episode of South Park is made in just six days so the show can remain as culturally relevant as possible.
Parker and Stone submit the episode mere hours before it airs, every week. However, due to a power outage at the South Park production studios, they were unable to finish this week's show on time.
In a series run of 240 episodes, this is the first time a re-run will have to be aired in a new episode's place because of the creators failing to meet their deadline.

"It sucks to miss an air date but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen," said Parker in a statement.
Hopefully, it will be at least another 240 episodes before this happens again.
