It's in His Slips: A Surprising 'DWTS' Elimination

A week after shock hit the ballroom when Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was eliminated after earning a score of 27, yet another Mirrorball contender was eliminated with a 27 this week, and the lowest-scored dancer lived to disco another day.

[SPOILER ALERT: Results from the show revealed below]

This week's episode of Dancing with the Stars was kicked off by guest judge Cher, who sang her hit single "Believe" at the top of the show.

After Cher performed the opening number, it was time for her to take a seat at the judges table and watch the seven remaining dancing duos perform their individual dances to some of her most iconic songs.

Last week's cha-cha sensation Corbin Bleu got Week 8 underway with a spicy Argentine tango with partner Karina Smirnoff. Bleu admitted that he'd been preoccupied during the past week of rehearsals and would've liked to have put a little more time into the dance, but he was still awarded a 27.

Cher might have been better off with a bit more rehearsal time as well for her guest-judging duties, as she flubbed her first score by yelling out her name instead of revealing her score. The singer and performer got the hang of things for the next round, though.

Pretty Little Liars
actor Brant Daugherty simplified his routine after biting off more than he could chew for his and partner Peta Murgatroyd's jive last week, in which he slipped. However, he was awarded the same score (27) for this week's foxtrot to Cher's rendition of "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)."

Dancing the tango to Sonny & Cher's "The Beat Goes On," Jack Osbourne also reproduced his second-consecutive dance meriting a score of 27, creating a three-way tie for first place that spanned nearly the entire show. Yet, the eliminated couple was amongst the trio.

Elizabeth Berkley, who was also granted 27 points for her individual dance last week, would've preferred a repeat of last week's score in lieu of her decreased Week 8 results. The former Saved by the Bell actress, who broke down in tears in rehearsal with Val Chmerkovskiy, slipped to the bottom of the leaderboard with 25 points for her rough and dark jazz routine, which Bruno likened to The Hunger Games.

Fellow former Saved by the Bell actress Leah Remini was granted the same score as Berkley for her Viennese waltz with Tony Dovolani. Remini scored some brownie points with Cher for her reenactment of her and Sonny's first encounter, set to their famed single "I Got You Babe." However, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli were less impressed, and gave her a pair of eights.

Leaderboard bottom dweller Bill Engvall admitted he was nervous to dance in front of Cher, who was one of his celebrity crushes. The nerves propelled him through a slightly offbeat disco to "Strong Enough," an aptly selected tune for the comedian, who was ecstatic after the routine.

Despite receiving a night-low 24 points on a triad of eights from the judges and later losing his dance-off, in which he again danced the disco, Engvall managed to proceed to Week 9 with the overwhelming support of fan voters.

With continuing concerns about her various injuries, Amber Riley stole the spotlight once again with another saucy Latin dance, this time the rumba. She and partner Derek Hough had the only 10 of the night bestowed upon them and were awarded a night-high total of 28, which automatically spared them from the dance-off and potential elimination.

After the Glee actress had the ballroom in a frenzy, it was time for the dreaded dance-offs, the winners of which were granted an additional three points to their individual dances. The judges found it hard to distinguish between the stellar routines but eventually crowned Corbin, Leah, and Jack as the winners.

Although Jack had won his dance-off and was tied for the highest score with Corbin, he nevertheless found himself anxiously awaiting his fate in the bottom two as the red spotlight shined upon him and partner Cheryl Burke as well as Brant and Peta.
