'Hell on Wheels' Gets a Fourth Season!
AMC's gritty, western period piece Hell on Wheels has proven itself to be a major contender in the cable programming landscape, even after being moved to the notoriously-difficult Saturday evening time slot. To reward the show for its efforts, AMC has renewed it for a fourth season!
The show follows a former soldier after the civil war hunting down the Union soldiers that killed his wife. During his search, his life becomes inexorably linked to the creation of America's Transcontinental Railroad.

The show had a slow first two seasons, but a ratings turnaround in the third has instilled further confidence in the program. AMC has ordered 13 episodes for the fourth season, instead of the 10 episodes the first three contained.
