Two decades after the series finale of Cheers, Kirstie Alley is back at again with another sitcom in the new comedy series Kirstie, and ET has a sneak peek at the premiere episode.
Alley is best known for her six-season role on Cheers, for which she won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe, so it's only natural for the actress to return to a sitcom eight years after her short-lived Fat Actress series.
Kirstie follows Alley's character, Maddie Banks, a Broadway star whose son whom she gave up for adoption at birth, Arlo (Eric Petersen), comes back into her life after his adoptive parents pass away.
Although she's a bit stubborn at first, with the help of her assistant, Thelma (Rhea Perlman), and her driver, Frank (Michael Richards), Maddie takes in Arlo and begins to embrace becoming a mother for the first time.
In the featured sneak peek of the premiere episode, we see Maddie and Arlo's comical first encounter. Unaware of her relation to him, Maddie sprays her biological son in the face with perfume after he attempts to help her out by picking up her dropped phone.
Watch the video above to see it unfold, and check out the premiere of Kirstie Wednesday at 10 p.m. on TV Land.
