Coldplay's Chris Martin to join The Voice.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is bringing his star power to NBC's singing competition The Voice to advise the show's coaches in a rebooted round of performances.

The 37-year-old singer will serve as a guest mentor on episodes airing March 31, April 1 and April 7, according to an announcement by NBC via social media.

For the first time on the show, Martin will serve as an adviser to all four coaching teams in a newly created portion of the show called The Battles: Round Two, which replaces the former Knockout Rounds.

In the new format, the remaining artists from each team -- all previous
winners and stolen artists -- will face off by singing the same song.
