Arsenio Hall Launches Fundraiser To Buy The Clippers

By

The Los Angeles Clippers will soon be looking for a new owner, and late night talk show host Arsenio Hall has officially thrown himself into the ring to purchase the team! There's just is one small problem: he doesn't have the $1 billion asking price.

But that isn't going to stop Arsenio! On his show Monday night, the 58-year-old host and comedian revealed his exciting new ClipGoGo campaign, an online fundraising initiative using the crowd-funding site IndieGoGo that will take donations from Arsenio's fans in an attempt to raise the money necessary to buy the team.

But what incentives are there for fans to donate? Well, Arsenio has established a number of perks, depending on how much someone gives.

For $50, Arsenio says he will retweet you, and likely ask why you didn't donate $100. For $35,000, he'll get a tramp stamp of your name on his lower back, and then show it to the audience on air. The caveat being the "tattoo" is really just henna, or some other temporary medium.

Arsenio is also accepting suggestions for more perks, and fans can make those suggestions by tweeting them with the tag #Clipgogoperks.

Now, a billion dollars is a lot of money, and even though Arsenio is confident the campaign will reach that goal, he wants people to know that their donations will not go to waste, even if the total isn't reached.

"In the unlikely scenario we fail to raise a billion dollars," as Arsenio put it, all funds raised will go toward the civil rights organization the NAACP.

"Now they will never have to take Donald Sterling's money, ever again," Arsenio said to the cheers of his audience.
