By
FX

The final ride is less than two months away.

Sons of Anarchy
, the highest rated series in the history of FX, will kick off its seventh and final season on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. with a special one hour and 45 minute premiere episode.

So what will Jax (Charlie Hunnam) be up to when we're reunited with our favorite outlaws? Per the FX press release, season seven will begin just ten days after the events in season six's gut-wrenching finale with Jax in jail on a parole violation and grappling with the loss of the woman he loved. With the club’s full support, he sets in motion the brutal machinations that will lead to complete and merciless retribution.

Better watch out, Gemma!

Anarchy Afterword, which is hosted by Chris Franjola (whom you may know from Chelsea Lately) will air live on FX twice this season—following the season premiere and the series finale.

Fans are encouraged to participate with the live after show by submitting their own questions via a toll-free call-in number and through the show’s official Twitter and Facebook pages.
