Olivia Munn is going from the newsroom to the voice booth!
The Newsroom star is leading the cast for a new animated Disney series, Miles From Tomorrowland – and it's the first significant voice role for the actress, ETonline has learned exclusively.
Miles From Tomorrowland, debuting in February on Disney Junior, follows the space missions of young adventurer Miles Callisto and his family -- mom and ship captain, Phoebe (voiced by Olivia); mechanical engineer dad, Leo; tech-savvy big sis, Loretta; and best friend robot ostrich, Merc -- as they connect the galaxy on behalf of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.
"This is the first animated character I have voiced and I am having a blast!" Olivia, who previously lent her voice on episodes of Robot Chicken and Annoying Orange, told ETonline. "Phoebe is confident, warm and funny so I am trying to incorporate all those characteristics when I record her voice."
The 34-year-old former Attack of the Show host is embracing being in the voice booth.
"You definitely have to let go of all your inhibitions and not be worried about looking silly," she said. "To get the full range and performance out of just your voice and inflection, you have to let go of any and all vanity."
With The Newsroom's series finale behind her, Olivia has a busy slate coming up with roles in Johnny Depp's Mortdecai and Ride Along 2.

Before the third and final season of The Newsroom began, Olivia chatted with ET about what she would miss most.
"I'll miss being able to say Aaron Sorkin lines on a regular basis," the actress said. "It's been really amazing to do this character. I think I'll miss Sloan most of all." Watch the interview with Olivia and Jeff Daniels below.
