'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Premiere Date Revealed -- Plus, Watch the First Trailer!

AMC's The Walking Dead has a return date!

The kings of Comic-Con kicked off their panel on Friday afternoon in the cavernous Hall H in style, revealing the return date for the sixth season, as well as the very first trailer.

The Walking Dead will get a supersized 90-minute premiere on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, it was announced during its panel.

The Talking Dead, The Walking Dead talk show hosted by Chris Hardwick, will continue to follow the mothership, premiering the same day at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

AMC will split up the season into two halves, with the first eight episodes airing this fall and the final eight premiering in February 2016.

AMC is going all out for the upcoming season, taking over New York City's Madison Square Garden in October with cast members and executive producers on hand for a screening and panel discussion at The World's Most Famous Arena.
