Back in June, NBC severed its ties with the real estate mogul and presidential hopeful after the infamous remarks he made about Mexican immigrants. On Thursday morning, at the TCA Summer Press Tour, the peacock network announced that they're on the hunt for a new Celebrity Apprentice host.

NBC's Chairman of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt revealed that the network is looking for a new host who will "make waves and will be a big personality" for the long-running reality competition series.

"And there's a few people out there who will fit that bill," Greenblatt said confidently of their search for a new host.

Despite their parting of ways, Greenblatt had nothing but fond things to say of working with Trump. "We weren’t in any adversarial position," the NBC Chairman said of their split with Trump. "It was a congenial, really great relationship... the world likes a star, and he's a star."

But when one reporter asked if there was any chance of Trump returning to host Celebrity Apprentice in the future, Greenblatt's answer was short and definitive: "Absolutely not!"

Well, this is awkward! In July, Trump told ET that he's confident NBC will take him back. "I'm going to say the answer is yes, because I get ratings," Trump said emphatically.

Celebrity Apprentice will skip a season, but return for 2016-2017 with a fresh face in the boardroom.
