Halloween is coming early to Dancing With the Stars!

For the first group dance of the season, Nick Carter is leading his foursome -- Team Nightmare -- in their Nightmare Before Christmas-themed performance tonight, and ET was on hand for the big rehearsal.

"Most people like Christmas or Valentine's Day," Carter told ET. "I'm just kind of a weird, creepy kind of guy. I enjoy Halloween."

In fact, Carter loves the spooky holiday so much that when he and his fellow Backstreet Boys did the music video for their 1997 hit, "Everybody," it was a send-up of the horror film genre.

Speaking of the Backstreet Boys, the group performed at the Balmain fashion event in New York City last week, causing Carter to miss a rehearsal for the Team Nightmare dance.

"I had to go and miss the rehearsal date for it, but I'm here and I'm trying to make up for it," Carter said.

In addition to Carter, the other members of Team Nightmare include Tamar Braxton, Andy Grammer and Hayes Grier. All four are paired with pro dancers Allison Holker, Emma Slater, Sharna Burgess and Val Chmerkovskiy.

"This is not about rainbows and ponies," Burgess assured ET. "This is about ghouls and goblins and tricks and treats, and so we're going to give it all."

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
